Van Winkel, The Shop, was founded on 11-11-00 - As featured in the

Our Shop in Oakland, CA features 47 local brilliant artists. Most
are women, many with kids. The shop started with 6 artists. Everything
is sold on a consignment basis. My daughter, Hazel, has basically
been raised in the shop. We have industrial sewing machines and an
art studio within.
We have a fabulous mix of 'functional' artists who use different media
to express themselves: jewelry, ceramics, clothes, blankets, hand
bound books, silk screen scarves, bags and purses, wings, fairy skirts,
dress up clothes, crowns, wands, costumes, capes and newborn gifts.
Because our 'works' are literally ONE OF A KIND, there is no possible
way to catalogue and order specific items twice. So please call the
